Larry Bird was one of the greatest players in NBA History. Prior to joining the Boston Celtics, Larry led Indiana State to the NCAA Championship Game where the Sycamores were beaten by Magic Johnson and the Michigan State Spartans.

Larry played Pro Basketball for 13 years and was a 12 time All-Star. Bird won three Most Valuable Player Awards and was a two-time Playoff MVP. Bird led the Celtics to three Championships (1981,1984,1986).

Larry averaged better than 24 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists per game. He is the only player in NBA History who is a 20, 10 and 5 guy.

Bird was the Indiana Pacers Head Coach for three seasons and currently is their President.

Meet Howard

book cover
"Howard Kellman has spent a lifetime in baseball, and through the stories in this book he teaches us valuable lessons such as: if a girl in a bar wants you to take her to Midnight Mass - do it, never use gasoline to dry a field, and always let your wife know when a game goes extra innings. Trust me, it will pay off."
